Sweet and Short Reviews: Sonic the Hedgehog

Welcome to my Sweet and Short Reviews blog! This blog is all about reviewing my favorite movies, music, and whatever really. While keeping the reviews sweet and short. We all got things we need to do, right? I most definitely appreciate you reading this blog, and I hope you enjoy the review.

Today’s review is one of my favorite videogame characters of all time. Sonic the Hedgehog is a fun adventure for the kiddos, as well as anyone. I have been wanting to watch this flick for quite some time and finally got the chance to check it out recently.

Sonic (Ben Schwartz) is loving life on earth. The only thing Sonic is missing is a true friend. He finds one in Donut Lord Tom (James Marsden). Unfortunately for the blue blur, Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) is on the hunt to dissect him.

For myself, the best part of Sonic the Hedgehog is the legendary Jim Carrey. I’ve always cherished Jim Carrey movies growing up, and selfishly have been wanting him to be in more movies in the recent past. In Sonic the Hedgehog, you definitely get vintage Jim Carrey. Carrey’s Dr. Robotnik had me laughing every time he appeared in the film, just as he has done back in the day.

What makes this movie really good is that the rest of the movie is also entertaining. The duo team of Sonic and Donut Lord is terrific. Sonic the Hedgehog will pull at the old heartstrings as well. This flick kept my 4 year old daughters attention throughout the entire movie, which is very hard to do. That right there makes this movie a win. I most definitely recommend checking out Sonic the Hedgehog.

In my book, Sonic the Hedgehog is an hilarious fun adventure for everyone. If you enjoy sci-fi and fantasy stories check out my website, tfam13.com. Watch out for more of my Sweet and Short reviews. I hope you enjoy the movie and the blog! Peace🤙

  1. I loved this movie as well. It had so many different sides to it.
Sonic was also my favorite game and hedgehog growing up. There was little to no violence like there is with many games kids play today.
Jim Carrey hit the nail square on the head when he created this sweet interesting tell.
