I’m super excited about reviewing Tolkien, a movie I should have watched a long time ago. The movie is about the legendary J.R.R. Tolkien, and some of the events in his life that helped inspire him to write The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. These are some of my favorite books and movies of all time. Tolkien is for sure one of my favorite writers ever, and someone who inspires me. To say I was pumped to see this particular film would be a huge understatement.

I know I’m way late in seeing Tolkien, but what can I say? I’m a busy guy with a family, so some of these things slip through the cracks. It was definitely worth the wait though. I must say I really, really, really, enjoyed Tolkien. The acting was great, led by Nicholas Hoult (Tolkien) and Lily Collins (Edith). Some of the smallest scenes that showed some of Tolkien’s creative process was awesome, and was my favorite take away from the movie. I also liked how they showed the bond Tolkien showed with his boyhood friends, along with his family. It is very heartfelt and enlightening to say the least. The end of the movie almost brought a tear to my eye. Almost. (Definitely not though)

In my book, Tolkien is one of my favorites! Feel free to give this review a massive like, and comment what you thought of Tolkien. If you enjoy sci-fi and fantasy stories check out my website, tfam13.com. Watch out for more of my Sweet and Short reviews. I hope you enjoy the blog! Peace🤙
